- I am mummy to the bravest, cheekiest little girl I know. Kaitlin was born at 25 weeks and fought for her life for the first six months in intensive care. She now has severe mixed cerebral palsy. Being Kaitlin's mum is the most challenging but joyful and rewarding journey I have ever been on. I am a better person because of her and she is daily proof that life can be fun, rich, full of laughs and so valuable no matter what difficulties you may face. She is my Earth Angel. This blog is to keep friends and family up to date, but especially for Kaitlin and my mum

More photos!!!!!! Awesome. Many people that come to this site will look and have some feeling for the life of those close to Kaitlin. But some of us will know more. Because we have a link that is unexplainable. Something that exists beyond the understandable. To give your life to someone else is the ultimate commitment. Rebecca, no one readsing this can say "I understand". Because they don't. But they can say "you inspire me". I hope anyone reading this learns that you only get out of something what you put into it. Maybe Kaitlin will never do do what 90% of kids do. But she will do what 90% of kids don't do. The love you give her will come back to you 100 times over. Forget the house, forget the money, forget the affluence. The only thing that matters is your children and your parents. It has never been any different. They are the only thing that can't be replaced. Hold Kaitlin close because she will give you more joy than anything in this world that can be bought with money. And in case I haven't told you lately. I love you very much x
Bloody hell! Do you try to make me cry? Cos it works every time! I don't expect anyone who reads this, or anyone in the family, or friends of ours, to understand. Disability is uncomfortable. We don't always know what to say, or how to act. I myself don't know around other disabled kids sometimes, and I worked in the field for four years! All I know is that the human race is pretty messed up at times and in a world where material possessions and staus or looks mean so much, I have a daily reminder of what is really important. I feel so rich. If anyone reading this or looking at kaitlins blog has a chance to talk to a mum of, or a person with disabilities - please slow down and listen. I swear, ypu will learn so much and appreciate what you have so much more. Stop and think and be greatful for what you have, or think about what you have to offer. Thank-you!!!!!!!!!!!!XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
